For me I liked the unstructured structured way of the training, in that it was flexible to meet whatever came out of the day but also structured to that the key points were covered. I enjoyed the worked examples allowing each of us to either coach, be coached or observe and I enjoyed the "training" from the front (and ahmm being the guineapig) so that we could see how powerful NLP can be and the flexibility that comes with it. I particularly chose France because I wanted to have the intensive training that comes with a week long course and getting to know and live with the other members of the course.
As always I trust in Sue's faith that we have all the resources in ourselves and that she is always there to dip in and out when needed or feels the need to do so. I enjoyed the way each day began and ended with the subliminal messages that filtered throughout the day and on into the evening.
Spence is a true practitioner in his own right, my learning is that if youre going to make an observation or pay a compliment make sure you have the evidence to back it up otherwise when he asks for specific examples or what made the difference he can tell whether it lipservice or not. He made a huge contribution in a low profile way and his insight and the way he cuts to the chase meets my way of thinking. The food, well what can I say, brilliant, supperb, the colours, the smells, the taste, the amount of love and care he puts into each and every day, the pleasure he gets (although he will deny it) when we all enjoy it and clear our plates, Im already intending to try out the recipes on my poor unsuspecting lodger. Spence is also the only man I will every be on time for!
I (we - Lynn, Steph and Gary) stayed at La Port Rouge and for me this was ideal, David and Elaine were excellent hosts who made sure you were well looked after without having the desire to spend every minute with you. The rooms were well appointed and clean and our dinning area outside was beautiful, which all added to the atmosphere of the day. Elaine adapted her menus to accomodate Spences lunches so that we could have a light meal as preferred but still well presented and flavoursome. I enjoyed being in Versiliac in that there were other places to visit/shop if needed and for me again the fact that you could walk to and from Sues everyday allowed valuable "for me" time and allowed body and mind to wake/wind down each day
I respect Sue and the work she does enormously and am a keen advocate of Sues training and books. The venue - it was a privillege to be invited into Sues and Spence's home and it was ideal for our training, spacious and light, beautiful surroundings both indoors and out creating a wonderful learning atomosphere
