Any plan to work in Hong Kong or China in 2005 — Paul Chung — Thursday, June 17, 2004

Dear Sue,

I get to know you through two of your translated books written in simplified Chinese, the “NLP at Work” & the “NLP Solutions”. These two books are empowering tools for me. They are also resources for me to align myself at the capability level between my mission and the environment.

And then recently I obtain you latest second edition of the “NLP at Work” in English from my mentor Rev. Fr. George Zee, the first one who bring NLP into Hong Kong some twenty years ago.

I want to know if you have any plan to work in Hong Kong or China. Me, representing a group of friends here in Hong Kong & China, would like to invite you, not only to teach, but to design, launch and supervise programmes here in Hong Kng & China.

I just started my career as a NLP Coach and Trainer last August after the Practitioner & Master Practitioner Trainings in 1996 & 1997 with the certificates from the hands of Judith Delozier. I completed the Trainer & Consultancy Training in NLPU, Santa Cruz, CA, in 2000.

I have not been able to write a clear Mission and Philosophy Statement like you do but my heart is to transform what I have learnt over the years into appropriate chunk size native Chinese programmes for the benefit of the people in China.

And also ecologically arrange competent trainers to teach here.

My idea at the moment is similar to your training programmes in different stages. My dream is like to operate an open university in NLP. People can select from a number of short modules, say 3 to 5 days, to meet their current needs. When they have accumulated enough credits, they can apply to sit for an exam and then being granted the appropriate Certificate whether it's Practitioner's Level or Trainer's Level.

For this dream, I have registed domains www.cnnlpu.com and www.cncoachu.com. And for the the dream to come true, I need more support from experienced forerunners like your goodself.

The advantages of having your sponsorship here are your books are already being read by people in China. Your strategy to focus on the business sector has the benefits that the people in this sector has more disposable income to invest on learning. Focusing on business is more ecologically to work with especially in terms of the covert quality of Trainers trained when comparing with NLP's work in therapy. Working with the business sector also give me an advantage of obtaining financial sponsorship for me to arrange workshop for the education sector. The education sector in China do not have much fianncial resources to invest in NLP trainings. But invest on education carries very important long term benefits to mankind.

If my dream is attractive to you, I would like to communicate with you further on this issue.

Take care & God Bless,
Paul Chung
from Hong Kong, China

Sue's Answer

Dear Paul, thank you so much for your mail. I am increasingly being asked and contacted to work in Hong Kong and China and I am increasingly drawn to do so. I am very keen to support people like yourself all around the world to make a difference for themselves personally and for their companies, their families and their countries. So I am very interested and am very much in line with the way that Judith teaches as I think that we share many of the same values and I want to promote that. So certainly let's communicate more on what might be possible.

Sincerely,
Sue Knight
