Dear Aneja, thank you for your question. The first part in which you ask at what age is the perfect age - well as soon as possible but it is not that children need this training they grow with it - it is more that we train it out of them in some kinds of education. Children learn by modelling and that is the heart of NLP. However I think our awareness of NLP and its principles is important at every age. To learn it formally though - well I find that most teenagers are very interested in the principles and practice of NLP and it helps them build confidence and choice. You also ask how we can make our managers more effective in their work -well that is what my book NLP at Work is all about so there are many answers to that question. However the first thought that came to mind when I read your question was that we can make our managers more effective by making them more aware of the significance of the choices that they make in what they think and what they do. I am a strong advocate of the belief that awareness leads to choice and choice leads to learning and growth. In business I prefer not to offer answers and solutions or to solve problems but to raise awareness of language, behaviour, beliefs and values. From what you know of NLP already you might ask yourself what has made you more efficent to date. Very best wishes, Sue Knight |
