NLP - Can it improve my outlook on life — Lathu — Wednesday, February 04, 2004

Sue Hi,

You seem to be the only person who has a question/answer session on the net. This is great for amateurs like us.I have read one book on NLP and i am interested to learn more.

Would like to become a NLP Practionner and Trainer. Will it change the way I look at life.We all tend to live in the past or in the future.I would like to enjoy the present. How will NLP help.

I am based in Chennai and I work for a reputed airline and have 2 daughters.I would like to be more positive and make a difference in my children's life and help other people too. Please let me know the way to acheive this.

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Regards

Sue's Answer

Dear Lathu, thank you so much for your question and it is so good to hear from someone in Chennai. You may have read on my website that I was there in Chennai only last year. You can find details of my contact there in the International personalities page. Yes with NLP we can learn how to improve our outlook on life and we can do this in a number of different ways. We can learn how to adopt beliefs of excellence so that we reframe the way that we think about our experience and much of NLP is designed to enable us to concentrate on what is happening right now. And by learning to pay attention to all of our senses we can enrich that experience in the present - many of the foundation exercises are designed to do just this. If you look at the Hints and Tips section in this website you can see how even the way we explore the future is to think about it as if it were happening now. I hope to come back to Chennai in the future to run more programmes there and I will copy your mail to Ashok Subramanian so that he can send you details of when this will be once we have set it up. I wish you the very best for your future both in your work and especially with your family.

Sincerely,
Sue Knight
